HOW TO TEST
- Order a kit.
- Remove the cap from the container.
- Attached to the cap is a paddle with growth media on both sides.
- Place both sides of the paddle on the surface to be tested making sure the entire surface of the growth media contacted the surface to be tested.
- Place the paddle back in its container.
- Tighten the lid.
- Place the container back into the box.
- Fill out the enclosed Chain of Custody form and enclose it in the box along with the sample.
- Seal the shipping box and return it to laboratory for incubation and analysis.
WHERE TO TEST
- Any area where you can see moisture or a stain left by moisture such as a roof or plumbing leak.
- Supply register from air conditioner ducts. One for each system. Example: (If you have 2 air conditioners, check the duct from each system.)
- Around sinks or bathroom fixtures.
- Near odor from an unseen source.
